Customization Guide

Here’s what each option means—and how to pick the best combo for your photo. The guide updates as you change your selections above.

Canvas Type

Quick take: Linen ships rolled (great if you’ll stretch/frame later). Board is a rigid panel—paint immediately, no creases, beginner-friendly.

    Size

Rule of thumb: Choose 40×50 cm for 3–4 faces or intricate scenes; 30×40 cm for 1–2 faces or simpler photos.

      Detail (Number of Colors)

More colors = more realism. 48 for smoothest shading, 36 for balance, 24 for fastest/most forgiving.

        How to Paint

A quick, friendly guide to get beautiful results on your very first kit.

        1) Set up your space

Cover the table, grab a cup of water and a paper towel, and work in good light. Keep your canvas flat and comfy.

        2) Match numbers

Each paint pot number fills the same number on the canvas. Open only the colors you’re using to keep paints fresh.

        3) Start small to large

Paint smaller, detailed areas first, then move to bigger zones. Many people go from the top-left to bottom-right to avoid smudges.

        4) Thin, smooth coats

Use a tiny bit of water on the brush for smoother strokes as needed. Let areas dry before adding a second coat for full coverage.

        5) Clean as you go

Rinse brushes between colors and blot dry. Pop lids back on paint pots tightly so they don’t dry out.

        6) Final touch

When everything is dry, add a light second coat to any thin spots. Optional: seal with a clear, matte acrylic varnish.

Pro tips: Work under bright light, take breaks, and enjoy the process. If a line shows through, a second coat does the trick.
